We held our Picnic in the Park on 12th June 2016 to celebrate the Queen’s ninetieth birthday. It was a bit of a soggy start but soon the sun appeared from behind the clouds. This encouraged people to make an appearance and, in the end, it was an enjoyable relaxing afternoon, made all the better by Mr Squash, who ably entertained the throng with his puppets and magic. The children were enthralled.
Our thanks go to everyone who helped to arrange the occasion including Gabi and Natasha from the Committee and a special thank-you to everyone who turned up to make the experience a very pleasant occasion. Two of our Councillors, Richard and Alison Cornelius also made an appearance and we thank them for taking the time to attend.
