The North Finchley Town Team is holding an open evening on Thursday 21st May between 4pm – 7pm at The Bohemia N12, and inviting anyone who is interested to attend to find out more about how you can become involved.
As part of Barnet’s funding from the Mayor of London’s Outer London Fund, a Town Team for North Finchley was set up in March 2013. The purpose of the Town Team is to bring together local businesses and community groups to improve North Finchley as a place to work, shop and visit.
The vision of the town team is to contribute to making North Finchley Town Centre a place that people want to use, enjoy and return to and where businesses can thrive in an attractive and distinctive environment.
Since its establishment the team has been working on a number of initiatives including setting up a community and business hub in the old Grand Arcade in the middle of the Tally Ho triangle and redesigning/submitting funding application for Percy Road Park as a play area for local children. This work has already begun and expected to be completed in the autumn.
The team is now reaching out for new volunteers and a board of trustees. Anyone interested is welcome to attend the meeting.
